Tatkal passport renewal

I am hereby sharing of getting passport renewal which got expired one year back and my home town also get changed

I have applied for my passport renewal at Delhi as earlier passport was from Punjab and also it got expired one year back there are lot of questions coming into my mind such as getting verification from IAS ranked officer and change instate. Than I searched at Google for passport renewal in Delhi. I got the link as

Then I go to link as new user, there I made my login ID and password and I go to link for passport renewal than options are keep on popping up and I filled all my details. I filled details of my old passport. I also requested for change in name and address. In name I want to add my surname so I filled the same as I have also documents related to my surname. Than I clicked for final submission and than make the necessary payment I paid RS. 1500/- through online and rest RS. 2000/- to be paid at passport seva kendra.

Than I booked appointment date as I applied for tatkal passport I get very next working day date at passport seva Kendra. I was thinking whole day that they haven't demanded any additional documents only Aadhar and voter ID are required them for processing of passport. Than I keep on calling my friend's if they know any police verification to be done earlier or I got it verified through IAS ranked officer but everyone is saying that you have to verify through IAS ranked officer. But when I visited passport it was quite simple process there will no requirement for pre police verification required.

Infact post police verification will be done that is after receiving passport.
