In this article we are hereby discussing about
Country naming as Netherlands. Netherlands capital is Amsterdam. We hereby
discuss some of the interesting facts about this country: -

People
of Netherlands are called as Dutch. Dutch men are tallest in the world as
average height of Dutch men is 6 ft. and that of women is 5 ft. 7inch. Their
long height is due to rich diet consisting of Cheese and dairy products.

The
national anthem of Netherlands is oldest one in the world. The music of National anthem dates back to
year 1572. Its words are more than 400 years old and it is made official anthem
in 1932.
3.
Carrots
orange color was due to Dutch; original color of the carrots was White or purple
but the person naming William III of England who was called as William the
Orange helped in Dutch Independence from Spain in the 17th Century.
Than Dutch farmers turned the carrots to orange to show tribute to William the
Orange. Orange color is now official color of Netherlands.

Netherlands
is 5th on world Happiness Index report after Finland, Denmark,
Switzerland, Iceland as per reports of 2021.

There
are more than 1200 brides in Amsterdam these bridges connect 165 nos. of canals
of Amsterdam and there are so many historical bridges and 15 bridges can be
seen at once after crossing the Herengracht and Reguliersgracht
brides.

This
country is world most low lying country in the Europe. Its 1/3rd is below sea
level. 60% of its population lives in below sea levels i.e. 5 meters below sea
level. Country lowest points is at Zuidplaspolder which 6.7 meters below
sea level. In fact, Netherlands means is low lying country and their airport
naming Schiphol Airport is 3 meters below sea level and it is country most
important airport international airport.

This
country is for Tulips but tulips are not natives of this land instead Tulips
are natives of Turkey as originally Tulips Were Central Asia and were
cultivated in Turkey in Year 1055. There is world largest flower garden in
Netherlands naming as The Keukenhof
tulip gardens. Tulips were brought to Netherlands through Silk road
in 1593 by botanist Carolus Clusius

The
Kings day which is largest celebrations of Netherlands is on 27th April for
every year. It was originally not the Kings Day it was earlier queen’s day
which was celebrated on 30th April every year but former Queen of Netherlands Queen
Beatrix handed over the throne to her son in April 2013 than Kings
day started. 27th is Birth date of King Willem-Alexander’s.

There
are more than 1000 windmills in Netherlands. They use windmills for multi-purposes
such as grind grains, draining wetlands, and even providing power to Sawmill. There is world Heritage site for Windmills
naming Kinderdijk. It is the best place to see
windmills in Netherlands which houses 19 windmills.

Dutch
people were earlier famous for Wooden shoes known as Clogs. These are way back
to 13th century.

Dutch
people eat liquorice most in the world. As
per estimate they eat 2 kg person per year.

Netherlands
is also known as Holland. But actually there are only 2 provinces out of 12 where
Holland is applied names of the same are Noord Holland and Zuid Holland

people has most bicycles in the world. There are 23 million bicycles in
